Who we are
Culture Forged is the people-consulting practice of Column 13, based in Jacksonville, Florida and working nationally. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Column 13. You can reach us any time at [email protected].
What we collect
Only what you hand us. There are three ways that happens.
When you contact us. If you book an intro call, email us, or call, we keep your name, your contact details, and whatever you tell us about your situation. We use it to have the conversation and to follow up.
When you answer a question on this site. The "Alex asks" section lets you send an answer. We receive your answer, the question it responded to, and, only if you choose to give them, your first name and email address. The name and email fields are optional and an answer without them is just as welcome.
When you browse. Our host records standard server logs, and we use [ANALYTICS PROVIDER] to understand which pages get read. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell data to anyone, ever.
How we use answers you send
Answers help us understand what people are actually dealing with, and some of them are worth sharing. We will only publish or quote your answer, in a newsletter or a post or anywhere else, if you ticked the box giving permission. When we do, we use your first name only. We never publish your email address, your employer, or anything that identifies your company. If you did not tick the box, your answer stays internal.
Changed your mind? Email us and we will remove it. No explanation needed.
Who else sees it
Nobody we do not need. We use service providers to run the site, deliver email, and schedule calls, and they only handle what is required to do that. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We will disclose information if the law genuinely requires it.
Client work is confidential by default. We describe client organizations by profile only and we do not publish client names.
How long we keep it
Contact details and conversation notes stay while there is an active or plausible working relationship, and then [RETENTION PERIOD]. Answers sent through the site are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
Write to [email protected] and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If you are covered by the GDPR, the CCPA, or a similar law, those rights apply to you and we will honour them regardless of where you are.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, say so directly.
